In 1966, on the initiative of René Gessler, a publisher from Neuchâtel, an unrivalled epicurean and forward-thinking entrepreneur, « La route suisse des plaisirs de la table » was founded, which would soon become the Grandes Tables Suisses.
In Villars-Sainte-Croix, legendary figures of Swiss gastronomy — Fredy Girardet, Hans Stucki, Gérard Rabaey and Roland Pierroz — laid its foundations.
Sixty years on, other legends have taken on the responsibility of keeping this tradition alive: Marco Campanella, Philippe Chevrier, Franck Giovannini, Peter Knogl, Heiko Nieder and many others are the heirs to this ambition.
They are the guardians of this culinary excellence and, for them, as for all members of the Grandes Tables Suisses, it is a source of immense pride to keep this tradition alive to this day.
